WESTON-SUPER-MARE got off to a winning start with victory over Chesham United at the Optima Stadium, their first opening-day victory in three years.
The Seagulls got off to a flying start when man of the match Dan Martin delivered a perfect ball from the left to Jacob Jagger Cane, who headed home.
The first half was fairly even as home keeper Max Harris made comfortable saves from Jayden Bennetts and Alfie Williams. Bennetts’ shot from 25 yards came after Weston struggled to clear, before Williams’ close-range header...
