AHMED Salam netted a hat-trick to see Bridlington edge past Congleton. The Seasiders took the lead after 39 minutes, as Salam slotted past Dave Parton in the box for the only goal of the half.
In the 62nd minute, the Bears equalised as Darren Chadwick powered a header home from a corner.
However, Salam restored the hosts’ lead in the 72nd minute after volleying an effort into the far corner.
Just nine minutes later, Salam completed his hat-trick, converting from the penalty spot after Ben Tweed was clipped inside the box.
