Micah’s so happy with Blues move

Micah Obiero says he couldn’t turn down a move to Carlisle United once he heard manager Rob Elliot had come calling.

Micah Obiero says he couldn’t turn down a move to Carlisle United once he heard manager Rob Elliot had come calling.

The 25-year-old has joined the Blues from National League rivals Wealdstone, where he made 150 appearances in four years since joining from Boston United.

And the striker, who scored 14 league goals last season, says he is delighted to join the promotion hopefuls as he chases his dream of playing in the EFL.

“This is a big club with big ambitions so I’m just happy to be in the building,” Obiero said.

“I’ve played against the gaffer’s teams multiple times, he’s seen me across the league and that’s when he reached out.

“As soon as I heard about it, I was delighted because it’s a big club so I though it was only right in the trajectory of my career to come here.”
