■SPENNYMOOR roared back to winning ways, putting Emley to the sword. Up until just shy of the hour mark, Emley would have felt they were well in the game, but higher-ranked Spennymoor pulled away in stoppage time.
Both keepers were called into action in a nip and tuck first period.
And the game would swing on fine margins, Matt Urwin, debuting for Spennymoor denied Johnson. And moments late the visitors had the lead.
Dan Jones’ long throw found Young, who headed into the bottom left hand corner, to break the deadlock.
