■FC UNITED of Manchester eased into the next round after thumping Ossett United.
The Red Rebels – who sit rock bottom of the NPL Premier Division – put their league woes to one side as four home scorers notched at Broadhurst Park.
After going close early on through Matthew Grivosti and Adam Le Fondre, the hosts finally found a breakthrough after 19 minutes thanks to Jordan Buckley. Mark Beesley’s side found themselves three to the good with just half an hour played, with Jan Palinkas heading home, before Aaron Atkinson added a third.
