ARDLEY BACK WITH A NEW SWANS ROLE

NEAL Ardley says it was the “honesty” of the Walton & Hersham board which persuaded him to take up the role as the club’s new director of football.
The 54-year-old is the shock recipient of the new role at the Xcel, building on a managerial career which has taken in the likes of Notts County, Solihull Moors, York City and, most recently, Walton’s Surrey rivals Woking.
Ardley will focus on recruitment, player development and squad building as the Swans look to turn around a difficult start to life at Step 2.
