Tooth Begins Hunt For New Assistant

SUTTON COLDFIELD boss Neil Tooth is on the look out for a new number two but says he won’t rush into making an appointment.

Tooth’s assistant, Ross Thorpe, quit the Northern Premier League Division One South club last Friday, a day before the Royals secured a 2-2 draw away at Belper Town.

Tooth is in no rush to find a successor to Ross Thorpe

Speaking about Thorpe’s departure and his search for an assistant, Tooth said: “Ross has been fantastic for me but we had a chat last week and decided it was probably best if we parted. We remain mates and I’m sure Ross will go on to manage in his own right.

“I’d like to bring in someone who knows the level and has an eye for a player and I’ll be interested to see who fancies it as it’s a fantastic job at a brilliant club. I enjoyed every minute of my seven years as an assistant manager and I learnt so much.
“I’m quite excited about the prospect of some new ideas but I’m in no rush as I’m lucky to have a very good team behind me and you never know one of them might fancy a go and I’ll never rule them out.”Interested applicants should email Neil Tooth at [email protected]
