BARROW boss Dave Bayliss says new signing Aaron Bowen had “about 15 clubs” trying to secure his signature.

Bowen recently returned from a spell playing in Australia after finding it difficult living abroad.

His manager at Barrow says the deal was struck some time ago but is pleased the 22-year-old striker has now put pen-to-paper.

Speaking to the club’s website, Bayliss said: “Aaron agreed terms three weeks ago but then went to America on holiday.

“He has had about 15 clubs chasing him so you are also worried someone is going to offer him more money and we lose him. This lad has the potential to have a great future.”
