Maidenhead United have confirmed that Alan Devonshire has informed the club of his decision to step down as manager.
The Magpies mainstay will remain in charge for the next two matches, away at Salisbury and at home to Chippenham on Saturday, 29 November.
His departure will take effect after the final whistle at York Road.
Ryan Peters will take on the role of interim manager the following day, with Aaron O’Brien stepping up as assistant manager for the remainder of the transition period.

Grateful
“Dev’s contribution to Maidenhead United has simply been amazing, overseeing the most successful period of the club’s history, for which we will always be grateful,” he said.
“I hope our fantastic supporters will come together on Saturday to give Dev the send-off he deserves.”
Maidenhead have endured a difficult run of form as of late, going eight matches without a victory in all competitions.
The downturn has left the Magpies sitting 15th in the National League South, still adjusting to life back in the division following last season’s relegation from the National League.

Memorable
Club chairman Peter Griffin paid tribute to Devonshire’s influence and legacy at the club.
Devonshire first took sole charge at Maidenhead in 1997, ending a 27-year trophy drought and guiding the Magpies to a historic promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division before departing in 2003.
He returned to York Road in 2015 and immediately restored the club’s momentum.
Devonshire led Maidenhead to the National League South title in 2016-17, delivered memorable FA Cup nights and secured a top-half finish in their inaugural season in the National League.
By 2024, he had surpassed 800 games in charge of Maidenhead, cementing his place as a true York Road stalwart.
Rowley is reportedly a target for National League side Yeovil Town as well.
