Fantasy Non-League Update – December 15, 2018

Welcome to the latest update of Fantasy Non-League 2018/19. Today’s update covers the period Sunday 9th December 2018 through to Saturday 15th December 2018.
So, we are fast approaching the halfway point of this season’s FNL and I have got to admit I think in all the years I have been running this competition I have finally found the best setup for the game. The -5 for a defeat is what I think has made the difference.
For example, Kettering Town who have been mounting up the points since the start of the season. In recent weeks they have gone through a bit of a blip.
In fact, in December 2018 so far, they have suffered two defeats and that has resulted in them losing 15 points of their overall total.
So, everyone who has picked Kettering Town and there is a lot of you have lost 15 points of their scores. You only need say another half dozen of your teams to have a bad run and suddenly you could be falling down the league table.
You are reading this update two days before Christmas and that means you have just over a week to get your substitutions in. I know you are sitting there in your armchair drinking your morning cuppa and thinking I am in 1,167th place what is the point in me making changes. Well yes it is worth doing it because we still have four Manager of the Month awards to go and you could pick one of those up for yourself.
