I READ with interest about Nick Gray, the Morpeth Town manager, being concerned that the standard of the Northern League could be watered down due to the new division coming into the Northern Premier League (NLP, June 23).
I totally get where Nick is coming from, but I believe that the Northern League is currently the strongest Step 5 League by far at the moment with quite a few teams that could hold their own in Step 4, ...
