MY son and I attended the recent Fleet Town v Hanwell FA Cup match – and a couple of things made us realise just how great it is to be back watching Non-League football again.
The volunteer on car park duties went out of his way to find us a space where we wouldn’t find ourselves blocked in after the game, as we needed to make a prompt getaway.
Then, as we filed out of the ground, another volunteer made a point of thanking us both for coming.
The magic of Non-League. Good luck to Fleet Town for the rest of the season.
