Fantasy Non-League Update – March 13, 2021

Welcome to the latest update of Fantasy Non-League 2020/21. Today’s update covers the seven-day period Sunday 7th March 2021 through to Saturday 13th March 2021.

Well it is now looking like it will just be the National League and three FA Trophy games for the rest of this FNL season. The only teams outside of the National League that are still playing are Hereford from the National North and Hornchurch from the Isthmian League who both feature in the FA Trophy semi-finals at the end of this month. At the end of each month the end of month league leader and bottom club bonuses will still be awarded and this will of course help both the players trying to finish both top and bottom.

During last week I received a nice phone call from a gentleman who lives in Telford. He told me how much he enjoyed playing the game and how much it had helped him during these trying times. It has in fact been a theme through a number of phone calls and emails I have received through the FNL Helpdesk this season. I know that a lot of you follow the competition very closely and I also think for many of you your knowledge of the non-league scene has increased tenfold. It really pleases me to know that the competition has helped so many during this past year of lockdowns.

Going back to my phone call from the gent from Telford, he asked me why we were continuing with the competition with just one league now playing. As he said I think he was in the top 50 but could see no way of catching the top teams with the lack of games. It is a fair point, but as I said to him, we still have including March 2021 three Manager of the Months to play out, so there is still a chance to grab some cash. Also, as I have stated above in today’s update you can still grab some of month bonus points.

Finally, please note that the 2019/20 FA Trophy final that is being played at the beginning of May 2021 is not part of the FNL 2020/21 Season.
