KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS boss Steve Burr says new signing Sean Clancy is “hungry” to earn a contract with the club.

Clancy, 25, has been with Blue Square Bet North club Chester FC this season but had his deal with the Blues terminated by mutual consent last week.

The former Burscough and Fleetwood Town winger has subsequently joined the Harriers on non-contract terms and Burr feels he will be a very good acquisition.

Speaking to the club’s website, Burr said: “We have been fortunate to be able to bring Sean in and we’re delighted to welcome him.

“He has come in on our terms and on a deal that suits both parties.

“He is extremely hungry to try and earn something more permanent with us so we’re really looking forward to seeing how he does.

“He brings some great experience from his time at Fleetwood in this division and will be an asset.”
