WEMBLEY is bracing itself for a Welsh invasion this weekend as Newport County and Wrexham head there for the Conference Promotion Final.

It’s been a momentous year for Welsh football, with Swansea winning the Capital One Cup, Cardiff taking the Championship title and Wrexham having secured The FA Trophy.

And a fourth Welsh triumph is guaranteed on Sunday when the Exiles of Newport go head-to-head with the Dragons of Wrexham for a place in the Football League.

As of this morning, it’s understood that Wrexham have sold around 9000 tickets, while Newport look set to bring somewhere in the region of 6000 with them over the border.
