GARY MEAKIN has left his position as manager of .

Meakin arrived at the Harry Abrahams Stadium in November last year, joining the Blues from side .

He kept the club in the Ryman Premier with an 18th-place finish but chairman Aron Sharpe says Meakin’s plans for the future did not match his own.

In a statement on the club’s website, Sharpe said: “Gary and I have spoken in depth about the club requirements going forward – the club has a particular pathway that it wishes to follow.

“These requirements were not in synch with Gary’s vision, so I decided that it was best for the club to release Gary from the manager’s role and that he pursue his goals elsewhere.

“The directive when Gary arrived was to maintain our status in the Ryman , and Gary achieved all that was asked of him which the club shall always be grateful for.

“I would like on behalf of all at the club to thank Gary for his extremely hard work in his time at Wingate & Finchley. Gary is a fine young manager who I am certain shall be a huge success at whatever club is fortunate to have him.”
