England C Face Jordan Challenge

ENGLAND C will travel to the Jordanian capital of Amman in March to take on the country’s Under-23 side in what should be a tough challenge for Non-League’s Three Lions.

The Jordan Under-23 side will begin their preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games Asian qualifying tournament which begins later this year by facing ‘s men.

The squad will travel to Jordan on Sunday, March 2 with the game taking place on Tuesday, March 4.

Fairclough said: “This is yet another fantastic opportunity for the players and staff to experience another different culture.

“Nesting in the borders of Lebanon, Israel, Syria Iraq and Saudi Arabia, Jordan has an amazing history.  It will be important that the travelling squad are given the opportunity to perceive and experience the rich heritage.”

The General Secretary of the Jordan FA, Khalil H. Al Salem added: “I would like to hope that this is the first positive step towards more systematic national team exchanges in the future, for our men’s and women’s teams alike.”
