THE POWER of football can be seen around the country every week as clubs place an emphasis on reaching out to their community.
Once again the Football Foundation, who support clubs and the projects they run, are sponsoring our Community Club of the Year.
Last season’s winners were Dulwich Hamlet. They describe themselves as a club with a social conscience.
They’ve engaged with their local area, have seen their crowds increase massively and have held special games for refugees and have an open-arms approach to the game.
The Ryman Premier club have been an example for others with their low pricing policy too.
Previous winners of this prestigious award include Woking for their groundbreaking community programme, and Maidstone United, who have shown how a 3G pitch can power a club forward.
Now we want your nominations. Tell us why your choice deserves to win in no more than 200 words for our panel to consider.
