NL Full Time: Is Barrow’s impossible dream finally coming true?

NL Full Time

The ‘Impossible Dream’ is the hot topic on this week’s NL Full Time podcast, not the Broadway musical number but Barrow’s decades long quest for promotion back to the Football League!
After their one-nil triumph over Aldershot at the weekend kept their dream alive, Rob Worrall catches up with manager Ian Evatt, as well as one man with an expert on eye on the rapid progress of the Bluebirds this term, Adam Johnson from BBC Radio Cumbria.
Another ‘Impossible Dream’ is looking possible in the National League North too as King’s Lynn just can’t stop winning. With two promotions in a row looking likely, Luke Edwards and Chris Pratt discuss their chances of a happy ending.
Luke also caught up with Newcastle legend Lee Clark for this week’s hour long show after his Blyth Spartans team progressed in the FA Trophy in midweek to set up Saturday’s trip to Stockport County in the competition’s first round proper.
Darren Smith from Chelmsford’s Claret Army Podcast also wins his first full cap on NL Full Time, keeping fans up to date on the latest big stories coming out of National League South and the five-star result for Concord Rangers against Eastbourne Borough.
And what do you think of half-time interviews as NL Full Time’s podcasters give their views? As an added incentive to encourage listeners to share their thoughts, producers say Luke Edwards is also also promising to sing the ‘Impossible Dream’ for real on next week’s show!

Return

The team running NL Full Time returned in September with their usual smorgasbord of National League chat and interviews smattered with titbits and news.
The podcast was originally launched in January 2017 by The Non-League Paper’s Stockport County writer Chris Pratt and Brandon Smith to provide a Final Score-type show on Saturday evenings.
It later morphed into its current format, a Sunday podcast focusing on the big news and stories around National League’s three divisions.
Smith, a student who followed Bognor Regis Town, now commentates on FIFA X Box and PlayStation tournaments all over the world.
As well as Pratt, four other journalists and Non-League broadcasters contribute to the show – BBC Surrey’s Aldershot commentator Rob Worrall, AFC Telford’s media man Worton, Hyde United scribe Luke Edwards and snapper and Met Police supporter Thom Lang.
Serena Orsi-Dadamo has also started contributing and is being tipped to help to deliver more great content this season.
Follow the podcast on Twitter at @NLFullTime. And if you get in touch with your views, prepare for the possibility of your comments being shared on the next pod. Simply click here to download Sunday’s latest pod!
