Five football celebrities who have had hair transplants

Hair loss affects men of all backgrounds and celebrities are not immune to alopecia. We look at five football celebrities who have had hair transplants in order to regain beautiful hair. Keep in mind that even though we are talking about footballers, who find it easier to schedule this procedure regardless of the costs, this is not easy accessible to common folk, however there are countries where this procedure is affordable, especially Turkey where hair transplants are affordable and qualitative.

  1. Wayne Rooney

34-year-old Wayne Rooney was one of the first English professional footballers who made it public that he opted for a hair transplant procedure. He was definitely not the first one to do so but he was the one to make public statements about this. In 2011, he shared on his Twitter account that, having started to go bald at the age of 25, he saw no reason why he should not get a hair transplant. He was delighted with the result.

  1. Ryan Giggs

The Manchester United celebrity had beautiful hair as a young man and aimed to restore the look he lost as he got older. It was reported that he had also chosen to invest in a hair loss clinic after having received treatment for his receding hairline.

  1. Anthony Stokes

Professional Irish football player Anthony Stokes is another celebrity who decided to undergo the procedure at a young age, when he was 26 years old. He also obtained good results.

  1. Leigh Griffiths

Leigh Griffiths, who is currently playing for Celtic, also tackled the hair loss problem while still in his 20s.

  1. Antonio Conte

The former manager for Chelsea and Juventus and the current coach at Inter Milan has had not one but reportedly three hair transplant procedures in an effort to gain full hair. It was said that the first two procedures did not yield the desired results, while the third, performed at a popular clinic in Canada, finally delivered the look he was aiming for.
Cosmetic procedures such as hair transplants are no longer a taboo among men. In the football world, superstars like David Beckham have set the bar quite high for beautiful hair. It is then safe to say that it is no longer a surprise to find that many football celebrities are looking to address the issue if they are not naturally gifted with full hair or if they experience early male pattern baldness.
