REUSCH are the leading International Specialist Goalkeeping Brand, with a heritage in glove manufacturing going back to 1934.

In 1973 Gebhard Reusch, the son of the original founder, developed the first goalkeeping glove with a latex palm in conjunction with Sepp Maier the West German National Goalkeeper.

One year later, Maier helped his team to lift the World Cup on home soil in Munich, thus becoming the first Reusch endorsee to win a major tournament.

Since that day, more goalkeepers have won World Cups and European Championships wearing Reusch gloves, than any other brand in the market.

Goalkeeping icons such as David Seaman, Peter Schmeichel, Gianluigi Buffon, Petr Cech and Julio Cesar amongst many others, have all worn the Reusch brand to major success.

Julio Cesar has just been recalled to the Brazil squad and hopefully will feature at the World Cup in 2014. Two other Reusch keepers who could also feature strongly in the tournament are Fernando Muslera of Uruguay and Salvatore Sirigu of Italy.

Reusch have always had an eye for quality, fit and comfort and over the years have been leaders in their specialist market for the innovation and development of goalkeeper glove technology.

They pride themselves on consistently producing quality products to enhance the performances of goalkeepers playing at all levels.

The 2013 “Argos” range is highly visible on the pitch and includes styles suitable for all match and surface conditions. As well as gloves, Reusch also produce a range of goalkeeper apparel and accessories to provide a full product offering to cover a goalkeeper’s every need.

In 2013, Reusch are committed to putting something back into goalkeeping at all levels and are very pleased to be sponsoring their second Reusch Goalkeeper of the Year award in conjunction with The Non League Paper at the National Game awards 2012-13.

Reusch AdIn addition Reusch will be sponsoring the second Goalkeeping Conference in the UK aimed at bringing together coaches, keepers and goalkeeping enthusiast over a weekend to share ideas and expand their knowledge.

The Conference will be held at the Wokefield Park Hotel in Berkshire on May 25 and 26, 2013. More details can be found at www.thegoalkeepingconference.com

Last year Manchester United goalkeeping Coach, Eric Steele and England youth goalkeeping coach, Simon Smith were among speakers who put on excellent coaching demonstrations as well.

Reusch are also pleased to be involved as title sponsors in the setting up of The Goalkeeper Coaches Association. The GCA is being developed to improve levels of goalkeeper coaching in the UK.

Whether you are already a coach, a teacher, a parent, a manager or just someone with a passion for goalkeeping, the courses the GCA will be running later in 2013 are designed to offer a high level of knowledge and understanding of how to coach a goalkeeper.

Course material will not just be about how to catch a ball, but will include, core stability, mental attitude and much more dynamic and innovative content, designed to improve goalkeepers and help them deal with the requirements of the modern game.
