This weekend’s Non-League tips from MarathonBet

There are no National League fixtures this weekend because of the FA Cup 4th Qualifying round – but you can still back the result of all the cup clashes at Marathonbet.

The winners of the weekend’s games will find themselves in the FA Cup first round proper and potentially earn the chance to face Football League opposition at some of the biggest grounds in the country.

Notable matches in England’s most famous cup competition include National League leaders Forest Green Rovers taking on National League South strugglers Margate. Both sides will be extra-keen to impress as the game will be shown live on BT Sport. FGR, the highest-ranked team left in the competition at this stage, are 13/20 favourites to win the clash in Kent while Margate can be had at 47/10.

Rovers boss Ady Pennock will be hoping for a repeat performance of the last time his side were in front of the TV cameras – an impressive 3-0 win over Aldershot Town earlier this month. Goals from Darren Carter, Kurtis Guthrie and Aaron O’Connor put Rovers on their way in that match. The same trio should feature tomorrow and if you think they’ll be on-song again, FGR can be backed at 25/2 with Marathonbet to win 3-0 once more.

Margate have picked up just seven points in their last eight National League South fixtures. But the magic of the cup invariably throws league form right out the window at the most unsuspecting times. Back Margate to beat FGR and make it to the FA Cup first round proper at 47/10.

There are more than 20 other FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round fixtures taking place over the weekend and Marathonbet has hundreds of markets covering ALL the games. Click here for the full list – https://www.marathonbet.co.uk/en/betting/Football/?menu=true#cc=514514

While a good handful of non-league teams do battle in the cup, those that have already been dumped out the competition resume normal league duties tomorrow.

In National League North, play-off hopefuls Stockport take on Bradford Park Avenue at Edgeley Park. The former are unbeaten in three league games but have only scored four times in their last six.

Bradford Park Avenue meanwhile are also struggling to find consistency in front of goal and are the league’s third least-potent team with 13. Stockport to win 1-0 could be the decider at 13/2 with Marathonbet while under 1.5 goals is potential value at 147/50.

In National League South, Hemel Hempstead have won once in their last eight fixtures and will be desperate to make amends against fellow strugglers Concord Rangers. Rangers are without a win in six and flirt dangerously with relegation at this point of the campaign. Gaffer Adam Flanagan also declared this week that unsurprisingly his side is low on confidence right now.

Hempstead have already beaten Rangers this year in the FA Trophy (they won 3-1) and the home advantage could play in their favour tomorrow, so we reckon Concorde will up come short again. Back Hemel Hempstead to win outright with Marathonbet at 7/10.
