Young Norwich City striker Tristan Abrahams has seen his loan deal with side cancelled by mutual consent.
The promising 18-year-old came through the ranks at Brisbane Road, before joining the Canaries for around £250,000 earlier this summer and going back on loan to the O's.
However, Abraham didn't make a matchday squad, because he still trained with Norwich and started all three of the team's Premier League Two fixtures, leading Orient boss Steve Davis to question if the loan deal was the ‘right direction' for the youngster.
It has now been agreed between the two clubs that it is in Abrahams' best interests to return to Norwich and train full-time at Carrow Road, with City's Sporting Director Stuart Webber saying: “We spoke to Leyton Orient and said we felt it would be beneficial for Tristan to spend more time here.
“He wasn't getting the game-time we'd originally planned at Orient. If he'd played for them at all, it would have limited the potential for loan moves in the future.
“That was another factor for us to consider. We didn't want to harm his opportunities so decided to act quickly on the situation, and Leyton Orient were very good about it.”
Orient have moved to replace Abrahams with experienced striker Matt Harrold, who arrived at the club from Crawley Town yesterday for an undisclosed fee.
The Leyton-born 33-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 80 games for the Red Devils after signing from Bristol Rovers in June 2014, has signed a two-year deal and is available for tomorrow's match against .
