Four EFL clubs keen on January move for Kidderminster’s Joe Ironside

By Jon Couch

PORTSMOUTH are planning a New Year raid for talented Kidderminster Harriers striker Joe Ironside.

The League One side have already delved into the Non-League ranks to land Oli Hawkins from Dagenham and Hampton & Richmond Borough pair Jamal Lowe and Nicke Kabamba.

Now boss Kenny Jackett is eyeing a move for former Sheffield United youngster Ironside, who has fired 15 league goals for National League North promotion seekers Kidderminster this term since moving from Nuneaton Town in the summer.

Pompey have been regular visitors to Aggborough to keep tabs on the 24-year-old England C striker, but they face competition from League One rivals Fleetwood Town plus League Two pair Mansfield Town and Cambridge United.
