Mangotsfield United have moved swiftly to appoint Ollie Price as their new boss following the resignations of manager Wayne Thorne and his assistant David Seal earlier this week.
The Mangos are 20th in the Evo-Stik South West and have won just once in their last six games.
Although relegation from the division looks unlikely with the club 13 points above rock bottom Bishops Cleeve, Thorne and Seal decided to step down after only four months in the job.
A club statement read: “It has been a very troubled season for them, with results not going as they would wish, and the club does realise that both worked long and very hard to turn the season around, and we would like to thank them for their efforts on our behalf.
“We wish them well for the future.”
Mangotsfield haven’t wasted any time in finding a replacement and Price has stepped up from his role of player/coach to take the hot seat.
Price returned to Cossham Street from From Town in the summer having spent three seasons with the Mangos in 2004/05 to 2006/07, making 99 appearances and scoring 5 goals.
