TWO villages, less than three miles apart – you’d expect them to be the fiercest of rivals. But the Hampshire pair of Hartley Wintney and Hook are teaming up for a brilliant cause.
Evo-Stik South East Hartley will host Hook FC in a charity match on February 7, with all proceeds going towards the cancer treatment of Verity Dorkin.
Verity is the wife of former Hartley Wintney and Hook legend Ian Dorkin. She is battling stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes and spine at the age of 34.
Admission will be via donation at the gate. Alternatively, to donate directly to the fund, visit http://www.justgiving.com/ crowdfunding/ oakwood-builders
