Ossett Town and Ossett Albion to become United

Ossett Town and Ossett Albion have announced the name of their new club will be .
The two clubs announced last week they had agreed to merge, subject to FA and league approval and now they have revealed more details about the move.
Ossett United will be overseen by a board of six directors consisting of three appointed by Ossett Albion and three appointed by Ossett Town. The Directors will be John Chidlaw, James Rogers, Lee Broadbent, Lee Summerscales, Dawn Rogers and Emma Chidlaw. Chidlaw will be chairman of the club.
Ingfield, the current ground of Ossett Town, will become the main home for United with the new board pledging to invest in the facilities and improve the pitch fit for a higher level.
The board believe the name Ossett United signifies “truly a joining of equals”.
The club will use Dimplewells, the current home of Ossett Albion, as the key training, coaching and playing facility supporting the reserves/U21s, U19s and NPL Academy teams, as well as for junior and ladies use. The board plans to ultimately replace the grass pitch at Dimplewells with a 3G playing surface.
A new crest is currently being developed as is a kit, with the club's branding colour confirmed as blue.
Chidlaw, chairman of Ossett Albion, said: “The response from fans, supporters and interested parties has been fantastic over the course of the last few days and we are making significant progress very quickly. I am proud and excited to be involved in this development and I can't wait for Ossett United to become a reality”.
James Rogers, chairman of Ossett Town AFC, added: “These are really exciting times and whilst there is still a lot of work to be done I am confident that this is the start of something really special for Ossett”.
