Jeff Hughes set to leave Tranmere Rovers

Tranmere Rovers midfielder Jeff Hughes is set to leave the club in the summer to join Larne FC in his native Northern Ireland.
The 32-year-old joined Rovers on an initial loan deal from Cambridge United in 2016 before making the switch permanent at the end of the 2015-16 season. In the two seasons since then Hughes has been a regular appearance maker in the Tranmere midfield.
Hughes has played for a range of League clubs over his career including Peterborough, Bristol City and but his move this summer will be something of a homecoming as he started his career with Larne FC.
The former Northern Ireland international has played 28 times for Micky Mellon's side this season, helping the club sit in an impressive 2nd position behind runaway league leaders Macclesfield.
Hughes will hope to be part of the Tranmere side due to play promotion rivals Aldershot on Saturday afternoon.
