Matthew Bates puts six players up for sale at Hartlepool

After being confirmed as the club's permanent first-team manager at the start of the month, Hartlepool boss Matthew Bates has wasted little time in beginning preparations for next season.
It has been announced today that Blair Adams, Luke George and Rhys Oates will leave the club when their contracts expire next month
Meanwhile, Jake Cassidy, Ryan Donaldson, Scott Harrison, Louis Laing, Jack Munns and Conor Newton have all been put up for sale.
The decision to put six players up for sale marks a bold move by Bates, who was handed the permanent managerial job after guiding Pools away from the relegation zone with a string of impressive performances towards the end of the season.
Bates was put in caretaker charge of the club in February following the dismissal of Craig Harrison.
Pools fans will be hoping for a better season both on and off the pitch following the takeover of the club by a consortium led by former Chairman Raj Singh.
