Gosport Borough have appointed Ryan Northmore as their new manager. The 37-year-old replaces Alex Pike, who left the club in March.
The Boro endured a torrid campaign last season, picking up just 19 points but they managed to avoid relegation from the Southern Premier League following a dramatic final day victory over St Neots Town.
Northmore arrives at Privett Park with an intriguing CV. His most recent job saw him take up the role as Head Coach of Bangladeshi Premier League side Saif Sporting Club.
The 37-year-old also spent two years in charge of Weston-Super-Mere before he left in September 2016.
Before turning his hand to management, Northmore spent a number of years plying his trade as a goalkeeper where he represented the likes of Torquay United. Woking United and Dorchester Town.
A statement on the Gosport Borough’s official club website read, “The board are extremely excited about the appointment and hope the fans will join them in welcoming him to the club.”
