National League side Chesterfield have confirmed that Drew Talbot has re-joined the club.
The 31-year-old, who joined the Spireties in December 2017, had been told that his contract would not be renewed but following a discussion with new manager Martin Allen, it has been confirmed that Talbot will continue to represent Chesterfield.
Allen told Chesterfield’s official club website, “I sat down and had a good chat with Drew Talbot and we’ve agreed a one-year deal.
I know he can play in several different positions, he has a good attitude and he will be a good member of our squad as he can play in a number of positions.”
Talbot featured 13 times for Chesterfield after joining the club mid-way through last season following his release from League One side Portsmouth.
