Adam Virgo’s predicts the rest of the campaign

Adam Virgo gives his exclusive run-down of each National League team in this Sunday’s NLP – and where he thinks the title will end up.

The BT Sport pundit gives his verdict on all 24 teams so far as the season gets ready for a frantic run-in.

On leaders Leyton Orient he writes: “When we saw them on BT against Macclesfield at the end of last season they were a different animal. The fact they’ve kept Macauley Bonne this season, you just felt they had a chance.”

As well as discussing his thoughts on the top end of the division, the National League expert casts his eye over struggling Chesterfield in the wake of Martin Allen’s departure.

Rumours are rife John Sheridan, who has quit his job at Carlisle United, could be set to be appointed in the coming days.

“Having got rid of Martin Allen their next managerial appointment is huge,” Virgo says. “They need to get a couple of wins together because too many draws and, well, look at what happened to York City.”
