John Goddard leaves Stevenage and joins Aldershot Town

have signed midfielder John Goddard on a six-month deal from League Two side Stevenage.
Shots boss Gary Waddock has been targeting reinforcements during an injury-hit season and has snapped up the former Swindon man following his return from a short-term loan at .
Meanwhile, Aldershot assistant manager James Rowe has been let go by the club in order to “restructure for the future and reduce costs”.
Goddard excelled at in the 2015-16 season where he scored 14 times in 41 appearances, including two against Aldershot in the Cards Boxing Day and New Year's Day victories.
His impressive performances earned him a move to League One side Swindon Town where he stayed until the start of 2018 before signing for Stevenage.
Under Dino Maamria, the 25-year-old has struggled for first team opportunities with Boro and now has an opportunity to have a fresh start.
