The 21-year-old was in an out of the first team picture at The New Lawn last season and enjoyed a productive loan spell at fellow League Two side Newport County during part of this campaign.
Speaking to Boreham Wood's official club website, Cooper said, “I am very pleased. I have been speaking to the manager Luke Garrard for a couple of weeks and had been wanting to get out on loan in order to play some games.
“After speaking to him, I really wanted to come here and get stuck in and get out onto the pitch.
“The manager is young and there is a small, tight knit squad here, which is a big thing to have at this level.
“I think that I'm a midfielder with a lot of energy; I like to get on the ball, play forward and try and make things happen. I will always look to give it to players who can go and score goals, or create assists.
On his latest acquisition, Garrard commented: “If you know Charlie Cooper, you know his background and you know his stats. He is a very productive central midfielder at this level.
“It is a coup for us. I have spoken a lot with his gaffer at Forest Green and I know his strengths.
“I want to try and utilize him, but he needs to come in and hit the ground running. Why? Because he has got ten games to try and make an impact, which could play a massive part in his future, with regards to next year.”
