Anthony Gale has stepped down as Walton Casuals manager after avoiding relegation from Step 3.
The up and coming boss has also resigned from his position within the Walton Casuals Academy.
Gale led Casuals to the highest level the club has played at following promotion from the Bostik North via the play-offs with a dramatic win over Corinthian Casuals on penalties.
The club avoided relegation from the Southern League Premier South on the final day of the season and then won the Southern Combination Cup to cap a fine first season at Step 3.
A club statement on Monday afternoon announced Gale’s departure: “Walton Casuals Football Club have accepted Anthony Gale’s resignation from his First Team Manager’s Position and Walton Casuals Academy Position with immediate effect.

“Walton Casuals Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Anthony.
“During Anthony’s reign the Club have achieved Step 3 status and won the Southern Combination Cup.
“On behalf of the Board Members, Club Members, Ladies Teams, Academy Team, support staff and our wonderful band of supporters, we wish Anthony the very best of luck going forward.
“Walton Casuals Football Club will start the search for a new First Team Manager with immediate effect.”
