have appointed Frank Wilson as their new manager following the departure of Hayden Bird earlier on in the summer 
Wilson is probably best known for his spell at Tooting & Mitcham, before joining as coach towards the end of last season.
The former Kingstonian coach replaced Bird who incidentally has moved into the hotseaat at King George’s Field.
Merstham were one of the surprise packages in Step 3 last season, finishing the season in 5th place in the Bostik to qualify for the play-offs.
A superb victory at saw the Moatsiders progress into the final, where they were unlucky to fall to defeat at the hands of .
Merstham chairman Chris Chapman said: “As you might expect, we had some very high-quality applicants for the role, and it certainly wasn’t an easy decision. But in the end, we all felt Frank would be a very good fit for us.
“As a club, we want someone who embraces our values as a community club and is keen to help develop our successful youth programme. Frank certainly ticked those boxes for us.
“We also know we needed someone who has managed at this level before and can quickly pull together a first-team squad that will be competitive in a league that is very evenly balanced as we saw last season. We look forward to working closely with Frank as we begin the next phase of our journey.”

“I can’t wait to meet everyone connected with the club and get pre-season underway at the end of June. The club made great strides under Hayden and I hope to continue where he left off.
