■ DEAN Thexton’s double led the way as Shildon beat Brighouse to go second in the table.
The in-form striker struck early in each half to give the hosts their fifth win in six games at Dean Street this season.
Joe Posthill fired in a cracking effort between Thexton’s two, after Harrison Beedon briefly levelled for the visitors.
