I WOULD like to confirm that the late Roger Hunt did indeed turn out for Devizes Town at the end of the 1950’s.Although a true northern lad, these were the days of National Service, consequently Roger did his two years in the Royal Artillery, and following spells near Oswestry, then Rhyl, he ended up at Larkhill on the Salisbury Plain. onOfficials from Devizes spotted him playing for his Regimental team and were quick to sign him up!
