ASKEY SAYS YES TO SOS FROM YORK

JOHN ASKEY has joined York City to support manager Steve Watson on a temporary basis.
Askey links up with the former Newcastle United and Aston Villa full back who continues to be without his regular assistant manager Micky Cummins as he awaits a Football Association ruling over historical betting breaches.
Cummins was charged by the FA in August in relation to 148 bets placed on football matches between January 2015 and March 2019.
