ILKLEY Town manager Simon Armstrong has blown the final whistle on his 10 years in charge at the North West Counties Division One North outfit.Armstrong took Ilkley from West Yorkshire League Division One into Step 6.Under 23s boss Sam Dexter and former player will now manage of first team, with Dave Houlston as head coach.While stepping aside from the team’s management, Armstrong will remain with the club to bring youngsters through the Player Development Centre and Sixth Form Scholarship Programme with St Mary’s School, Menston.Armstrong said: “When I ...
