FROM CANVEY Island to Chicago and back again – boss Brad Wellmen has come full circle on his football journey.
The new Gulls manager stepped up from his role as assistant when Mark Bentley left the Isthmian League North leaders to join Southend United last month.
Their strong start has continued with six wins from his first six games ahead of yesterday’s FA Trophy clash with Tonbridge Angels.
