GOLCAR United have been fined by the FA after fans set off pyrotechnics to celebrate their 2-1 victory at Holker Old Boys in the North West Counties Division One North play-offs. The exact fine following the April 16 game seen by a Rakesmoor Lane crowd of 645 has not been disclosed. A Golcar statement said: “While we appreciate that supporters are trying to enhance the atmosphere and are showing their support for the club, we now ask that our supporters no longer bring flares into The Skye Direct Stadium or at any away games.”
