Oakham are spot on to lift Rutland Cup

RUTLAND is the smallest county in England and one which only consists of Non-League football.
After winning the Rutland Cup last year in only his second competitive game since his return to Oakham United, Seb Hayes has repeated the feat this pre-season. In this year’s final against Cottesmore AFC, Oakham won 5-3 on penalties after the game finished at 1-1.
The fact that Oakham had nine players unavailable on the day makes the win all the more remarkable. manager Hayes had to draft in several youngsters iand they rose to the occasion magnificently.
