STEVE Watt has confirmed his departure from Hythe Town – but the club are still hoping he will change his mind.
Watt led the Cannons to the Isthmian South East play-off final last month, but announced he was to step down this week following ‘minimal contact’ with the club’s board over future plans.
The club, however, have responded by saying: “There was a communication breakdown where an offer we thought had been made to Steve but wasn’t passed on before his resignation.
