GRAYS Athletic may be a shadow of the side that Mark Stimson led to a famous double, but the 55-year-old says the “heart” of the club is beating stronger than ever.
Stimson was named manager of the Isthmian North side on Friday, almost two decades after his previous spell in charge yielded a Conference South title and back-toback FA Trophies, inset.
Times have been tough since then, with resignation from the Conference in 2010 followed by the sale of the New Rec stadium and 13 years of groundhopping throughout Essex.
