MARSKE United have moved to replace wantaway captain Adam Wheatley with the signing of highly sought-after defender Dan Myers.
Defensive stalwart Wheatley had a transfer request accepted by the Seasiders this week by the with his decision based on “travel commitments with a young family and work”, according to a statement.
The 33-year-old played an instrumental role in the club’s rise from Step 6 to Step 3, making 501 appearances for the Seasiders, scoring 43 goals, and sits third on the all-time appearance list.
