SLOUGH TOWN eased to victory thanks to goals from Johnny Goddard, Nathan Minhas and Mickel Platt.
The afternoon started in the best possible fashion for the Rebels with a fine run from Leon Chambers-Parillon causing the Iron’s backline problems. A low-driven cross found the boot of Johnny Goddard, who easily slotted past Jack Sims.
The remainder of the first half was a cagey affair, with little to separate the two sides besides a Tyrese Dyce header firing narrowly wide.
