WEMBLEY winner Dan Spinks has stepped down as manager of Romford – a little under three weeks since lifting the FA Vase. And it’s sparked something of an exodus with high-profile players such as former Dagenham defender Scott Doe, 32-goal striker Hassan Nalbant, Jamie Hursit, Finlay Dorrell, Zatash Ali and Luke Foster also departing.
Captain Kris Newby, who made 41 appearances for Boro last season en route to leading a 3-0 Vase final victory over Great Wakering Rovers, will take charge of the club’s next Essex Senior League camp...
