ALTRINCHAM legends from the Robins’ 2005 and 2014 promotion-winning sides will take to the pitch again this month for Stuart Coburn’s testimonial.
The legendary keeper played 689 times for Alty across two spells at Moss Lane before reluctantly retiring in his early 40s.
Known to Alty fans as ‘England’s No.1’, Co-burn was part of Graham Heathcote’s play-off winning side who beat Eastbourne Borough in the one-off North v South final at Stoke City in 2005.
And he was between the sticks almost ten years later when Lee Sinnott’s side beat Guiseley in the playoff final in 2014.
