I VENTURED this month to a game in Cwmbran in South Wales, to a club that has seen better days, winning the League of Wales. Indeed, they were the first winners, back in 1993. They hosted the mighty Manchester United in the mid-1990s when the crowd was considerably more than today. But then the money dried up. Against all the odds, they endured.
And the sight was impressive as I approached the ground with undulating hills overlooking a place that is a leisure centre as well as home to a football club....
